Discovering a sense of purpose can truly enrich your life, and TCS has provided me with my life's purpose, my 'ikigai.' I have been a part of this organization for nearly a decade, and I initially had little knowledge about the incredible opportunities it offers.
During my time at TCS, I came to realize my passion for tackling challenges. Working in Quality Delivery, I understood that our focus at TCS is always on the customer, which gives us the chance to enhance the quality of our offerings. Being involved in delivery was particularly meaningful to me, as it allowed me to engage with various verticals and take pride in being the one who provided solutions to problems. TCS truly helped me discover my strengths.
When I began my journey at a Bank client, I found a strong connection to the finance sector. I received excellent recommendations to join TCS, as they were seeking an individual with a solid rapport with the bank, and I was fortunate enough to fulfill that role.
Today, I truly sense the benefits of nurturing relationships and expanding my network. Engaging with others has led to numerous opportunities for me.
I chose to take new paths when things didn’t align with my values. I embarked on a journey where my professional endeavors harmonized with my life’s purpose, and I discovered that purpose at TCS.
Each day, I arrive at work filled with excitement, eager to discover what awaits me. No two days are alike; it’s always a fresh experience. There are new projects, unique situations, and different challenges to tackle. The novelty of each day is what truly motivates me.
I started my journey as a Delivery Manager for a major account in the Finance sector. After that, I took on the role of Delivery Manager for a prominent insurance firm. I then moved to the Delivery Excellence Group (DEG) before returning to the BFSI sector as a Delivery and Resources Manager. Colleagues often reach out to me because they view me as a go-to person for resolving issues.
I focus on assisting projects and Delivery Centers in providing top-notch service while inspiring team members to deliver quality experiences to our customers. My role involves coordinating personnel and reallocating resources across various projects. I consider myself an operational strategist.
Each day at TCS brings its own set of challenges, and I put in a lot of effort. However, to me, it’s more than just a job; it’s a way of serving others. When I return home, I don’t see it as a tiring day filled with hard work, but rather as a fulfilling day where I’ve contributed to the company and supported our clients. I can honestly say that I haven’t felt like I’ve worked for years together because I truly enjoy what I do!
I truly believe that my role at TCS positively impacts people's lives! This stems from my deep passion for TCS and its commitment to making a meaningful difference in the community. For instance, TCS contributes 66% of its profits to philanthropic efforts, which helps strengthen its ties to the local community. At 66 years old, I find a sense of peace working here, and I sense that many others share this feeling of belonging, inclusion, and acceptance.
I believe the programs focused on the health and safety of TCS employees are fantastic and significantly influence people's lives. TCS creates an environment where individuals can work without the burden of additional concerns. The company encourages you to focus on your work, knowing that you have all the support necessary to achieve a healthy work-life balance.
I was involved in a situation where an individual with a disability was placed in a role based on their true skills rather than their limitations. This approach led to the individual feeling secure and satisfied in their job. This is just one illustration of TCS's commitment to diversity and inclusion.
When it comes to the environment, I see TCS as a family. Despite being a large organization, it feels very personal and inviting. The team members are friendly, and we support one another. If I'm unsure about something, I make it a point to find someone who can assist. The overall vibe is really enjoyable, fostering a healthy and friendly sense of competition.
Investing in training and development brings numerous advantages. At TCS, associates are viewed not just as employees but as genuine partners. We also enjoy easy access to various levels of management. Through my experiences with my managers and the leadership team, I have gained resilience, dedication, and an unwavering work ethic. I strive to work diligently while prioritizing well-being and maintaining my passion for my role.
