The day I joined TCS on July 18, 2011, is still in my memory. I was a young and hopeful 25-year-old, filled with a mixture of excitement and nervousness. Like anyone starting a new chapter in their life, I had a touch of apprehension about the unknown. However, deep within me, I burned with ambition and a desire to pursue my dreams and aspirations.
Looking back now, 12 years later, I am filled with immense gratitude for the experiences I have had during my time with TCS. I started my journey as a Software Developer in AS400, mastering the intricacies of the field and honing my technical skills. I was fortunate enough to work with brilliant minds and mentors who guided me along the way, helping me grow both personally and professionally.
As I progressed in my career, I gradually transitioned into the role of a Technical Manager. This role presented new challenges and responsibilities, requiring me to not only excel in my technical abilities but also develop leadership skills. It was during this time that I began to understand the true importance of effective communication, team building, and managing projects efficiently. However, after carefully assessing my own strengths and passions, I made the decision to shift my focus towards Project Management. I believed that this field held immense opportunities for me to make a meaningful impact and further advance in my career. With dedication and determination, I obtained the necessary certifications and embarked on the next phase of my professional journey as a Service Manager.
For the next five years, I immersed myself in this challenging role, overseeing and managing various projects. It was a period of immense personal growth as I learned how to navigate the complexities of client relationships, handle high-pressure situations, and ensure the successful implementation of projects within the given constraints.
Throughout these 12 years with TCS, the company has been a constant presence in my life, supporting me through both the ups and downs. From the exhilaration of purchasing my first car to the nerve-wracking feeling of taking my first steps in production, TCS has been there. When I decided to buy a house, they provided essential guidance and resources.
When I started working at a client's facility, TCS facilitated a seamless transition. And when I celebrated my wedding and the birth of my daughter, I was surrounded by colleagues who felt like family. I have been fortunate to have wonderful colleagues and friends who have supported me every step of the way, becoming pillars of strength and support. Their unwavering encouragement and belief in my abilities have been instrumental in my personal and professional growth.
For all the talented professionals out there, my advice would be to seize the opportunities that TCS provides. The company offers a wealth of knowledge and resources for you to tap into. With dedication and hard work, you can achieve your goals and make a significant impact in your chosen field.
