Q1: When is the last date to register for TCS MBA HR Off campus hiring?
A1: 3rd April 2025, Thursday.
Q2: When is the test scheduled?
A2: The test is scheduled for 5th April 2025, Saturday. The test venue and schedule will be communicated to the candidates on their registered email IDs.
Q3: Do I need to create my profile under 'BPS' or 'IT'?
A3: You are requested to create your profile under TCS Next Step Portal -> 'IT'.
Q4: What would be the mode of the test?
A4: The test will be conducted in-person in the TCS offices. Candidates would be required to visit the allotted TCS offices to appear for the in-person test.
Q5: My NextStep account is locked. How can I unlock it?
A5: Please note that after 3 unsuccessful OTP attempts, your account will be locked for 4 hours. You will get 2 more OTP attempts after 4 hours, however if wrong OTP inputs are given still, your account will be locked in the current day. You will get the next login attempt with OTP post the date change (i.e., next day). Hence, we request you to be careful with your login ID and OTP.
Request you to use a desktop/laptop. Please clear the cache, history and cookies and use the latest version of Internet Explorer/Google Chrome.
Q6: Is 'Apply For Drive' mandatory?
A6: Yes, it is mandatory. If you do not click on 'Apply For Drive', your application will not be considered for TCS Off campus MBA HR Hiring process.
Q7: I am not getting the 'Apply For Drive' option, what should I do?
A7: Once you fill in the application form, logout and login again.
Then click on ‘Apply For Drive.’ If you are not getting the ‘Apply For Drive’ option, please re-check the below steps:
- Confirm whether you have completed or submitted your application form.
- Check if you have erroneously registered under ‘BPS’ instead of ‘IT.’ If yes, then write to tcsbps.support@tcs.com for the deletion of your profile under BPS. Once your profile has been deleted, please create a new profile under IT.
- Recheck the qualification you have entered on application form
- Check the Year of Passing you have entered in the application form.
The 'Apply For Drive' option will be enabled only for eligible candidates from the management postgraduates from the batch of 2023 and 2024 with MBA in HR/Masters in Human Resource Management/Masters of Arts in Human Resource/Masters of Social Work in HRM/Masters of Management Studies in HRM/Masters of Labour Studies (with specialization in HRM/Labour Welfare/Industrial Relations/Labour Law)/Post Graduate Diploma in HRM/Post Graduate Program in HRM or equivalent courses.
Q8: I have applied for the drive but have not got a confirmation email, what should I do?
A8: Post applying for the drive, the status will reflect as 'Applied For Drive' in your 'Track My Application'. You will not get an acknowledgment mail or confirmation mail about the same.
Q9: What if I already have a CT/DT reference number? Do I need to register again?
A9: No, you do not need to register again if your details such as your highest qualification and year of passing are mentioned correctly under the TCS Next Step Portal -> IT. If the details are incorrect, please proceed to make the required changes in the form before you 'Apply For Drive'.
Q10: I have forgotten my CT/DT Reference ID. Where do I get it?

Q11: Can I make changes to my profile as I have made some mistakes?
A11: Yes, but the changes are restricted to certain fields only. Hence, we request you to fill in the Application form carefully the first time.
Q12: Can I change my photo in the Application Form?
A12: Yes, you can change your photograph before you ‘Apply For Drive’. You are requested to carefully follow the below instructions while uploading your photograph-
- Maximum file size of 200 KB.
- Allowed File Type: JPG, JPEG.
- Photo should be in formal attire with white background.
- Avoid white clothes with a white background.
- Face and shoulder should be clearly visible.
- Both the ears must be clearly visible.
- Body pose should be appropriate.
- Do not upload selfies or informal photos.
- Photo should be of good resolution.
Q13: I have incorrectly created my profile under 'BPS'. What should I do now?
A13: Please write to tcsbps.support@tcs.com for the deletion of your profile under BPS. Once your profile has been deleted, please create a new profile under IT.
Q14: Can I still register in TCS Next Step Portal even if I don’t have any Aadhar Card?
A14. Aadhar Card is mandatory for registration and creating CT/DT Reference ID in the TCS Next Step Portal.
Please Note: The First Name, Last Name, and the Date of Birth updated in the application form should be as per details mentioned in the Aadhar Card.
Q15: What will be my work location?
A15: The final joining location assigned would be at the sole discretion of TCS depending on business needs.
Q16: What documents are required if I have work experience?
A16: If you are a candidate with work experience, you must provide experience related documents from all the previous organization(s) such as Experience Letter or Release Letter or documents wherein date of joining (DOJ) and date of release are clearly mentioned.
