About me:
My name is Virginia Machado, and I want to share my amazing journey with TCS Uruguay. It’s a tale of personal growth, hard work, and making the most of every opportunity I got. When I started at TCS in 2009 as a team member, I had no idea how far this path would lead me in the tech industry. One key skill I developed was my English proficiency, which I realized would help me navigate TCS’s global environment.

I started my journey feeling excited and ready to learn. A few months in, I experienced the lively culture of the company. My strong English skills helped me advance in my career and connect well with teams around the world.
Embracing Opportunities as Stepping Stones
As the years passed by, I realized that my career with TCS is not just a job but a plethora of opportunities waiting to be seized. My determination to excel and make a meaningful impact led to my first promotion as a Team Leader. In this role, I learned essential skills in communication, team management, and the art of creating a collaborative and motivating work environment.
Guiding and Mentoring: first step in the ladder to success
My tenure at TCS was marked by constant evolution as I embraced new challenges and opportunities. Through my dedication and hard work, I advanced to the Manager position, where I had the privilege of supporting and mentoring others in their TCS journeys. This phase of my career was rich in personal development and focused on fostering growth within my team.
Delivery Manager: working with Talented Team
My career advanced significantly when I became a Delivery Manager, leading a team of more than 100 skilled people. This role showed my hard work and highlighted TCS's dedication to valuing and supporting every team member's efforts.
A Milestone Achievement: First woman Delivery Head for BPO Services
A significant milestone in my career was becoming the first female Delivery Head for BPO services. This accomplishment represented not only a personal triumph but also underscored TCS's commitment to diversity and inclusion.

Reflecting on my journey from team member to Delivery Head, I am thankful for the incredible opportunities that TCS Uruguay has offered me. My experience has been a mix of challenges and achievements, but I have always believed in the value of learning and adapting to new skills.
