We're a member-owned organization and our members are mostly the train operating companies. We bring them together to make joined-up decisions and coherent strategy about how the rail industry works in the future. There's a lot of data within the rail industry, but sometimes it's in silos, sometimes it's held by public organisations, sometimes it's held by commercial organisations. Therefore they all have different needs in sharing that data. But, there is an enormous appetite to consume the data. It's a way of giving access to information and data at its source, to use the Rail Data Marketplace as a way of being able to find that data and use it in consumable formats. So what we're building here is not only the access to open data across the industry, but we're also making sure that we can monetise data. Our partnership with Rail Delivery Group gave us an opportunity to create a Rail Data Marketplace. Democratization of rail data through this platform enables new entrants to bringing in innovative services to the travellers. This partnership is special to us. as two organizations with Shared Vision have come together to create this industry -first solution. When we saw the TCS Dexam™ product, we recognised it was a level of configuration there that actually would make the work we had to do simpler and easier. We created prototypes of how we wanted the user journey to happen and then the TCS development team made that happen. I don't know how they did it. it seemed like magic at times. In creating the Rail Data Marketplace, we hoped to spur innovation and although it's very early days, we're already seeing some of that. One train operating company is using artificial intelligence(AI) linked to a WhatsApp channel, which allows passengers to ask natural questions and then be fed data through our disruptions API, through the live departure boards, and get a natural language response to their query. on the plans for the future, We believe that this platform will be a catalyst for innovation, not just in the rail industry, but across the interconnected transportation network. The possibilities of scaling new horizons, leveraging AI is truly vast.
