TCS accelerates growth with AI and GenAI Innovations

Artificial intelligence and generative AI projects are driving growth at Tata Consultancy Services. Irrespective of industry, businesses are seeking strategic AI-led interventions and TCS is captitalizing on this opportunity. TCS has entered into several AI/GenAI partnerships and is helping organisations realise the true value of their business using AI.

With around 580 business engagements centered on AI in Q4FY25, TCS has demonstrated the integral role artificial intelligence plays in its technology-driven creative solutions. AI is at the core of innovative solutions that TCS develops for its customers worldwide, showcasing the company's commitment to futuristic and modern technological advancements.

TCS' investment in Agentic AI is evident through the development of over 150 specialized solutions tailored to sectors such as financial services, accounting, and supply chain management. These investments have enabled TCS to provide cutting-edge AI-led innovations that cater to the diverse needs of its global clientele, solidifying its position as a leader in the AI and GenAI space.

AI for Business, a Strategic Growth Lever:

The applications of artificial intelligence are wide-spread and varied. TCS buckets the use of AI into two: AI for business and AI for IT. While TCS has been harnessing the power of AI for IT services or software engineering, channelling AI for business is emerging as a new growth lever for the company.

TCS is infusing AI to solve business problems for customers across sectors. For example, TCS built a GenAI based movie script analyzer for a leading global OTT and big tech firm. This analyzer generates insights based on viewership data, movie scripts/content and enables the streaming platform to deliver a personalized, safe, authentic and engaging viewing experience.

Having identified AI for IT as a significant growth driver, TCS made great strides in reimagining Software Engineering through AI in FY25.

AI drives order book: The CEO highlighted the role AI is playing in attracting new deals and partnerships. “AI is one of the key factors driving our order book,” he said during the media briefing.

Further to the positive response to TCS’ AI expertise, the optimism for GenAI is driving customers to seek out specialised solutions and are scaling up their investments in AI and GenAI. The growth in Q4FY25 was led by IoT & DE, Enterprise Solutions and AI.Cloud.

In the previous quarter TCS said it is advancing to the next stage of GenAI maturity with focused investments in Agentic AI capabilities. These investments are bearing fruit. At the end of FY25, the company announced that over a third of its client engagements use AI/GenAI for accelerated project outcomes and high quality.

AI-related upskilling and hiring: The green shoots of growth that TCS has identified in AI for business will have a direct impact on hiring. TCS will look to attract talent that is specialised in artificial intelligence. As the number of AI-related projects grow, it is more likely that TCS will hire professionals with expertise in artificial intelligence instead of cutting down on the workforce.

AI and GenAI recognition and partnerships: TCS won NVIDIA Rising Star Consulting Partner of the Year Award for AI Innovation and Excellence. TCS has enhanced its WisdomNext™2.0 platform with agentic capabilities. In Q4FY25, TCS announced a strategic partnership with Google Cloud to enhance its AI and GenAI offerings for customers in the communication, media, and information services industry. TCS is using a combination of GenAI and TCS Mastercraft™ for modernising legacy systems and infrastructure. It is also fortifying Crystallus™ with AI/GenAI.
