Hyderabad Public School Becomes National Champion at TCS IT Wiz 2019

Bhavans BP Vidyala Mandir, Nagpur

Yashovardhan Shetty and Udbhav Saxena from Hyderabad Public School walked away with the TCS IT Wiz Championship title. The winning team got vouchers worth `150,000 and the coveted champion trophy for their school.

DPS Vadodara win nervous Gujarat battle

The Gujarat edition of TCS IT Wiz was a huge hit with schools from as many as 18 cities outside of Ahmedabad turning out for the event.

The Bangalore edition of TCS IT Wiz saw a huge turnout of over 1200 students. The quiz was held at the famous Chowdiah Memorial Hall, the very venue where the quiz made its debut 21 years ago. The prelim led to six schools making it to the final.

"If they play the way they played today, they will be national champions", said ace quizmaster Pickbrain to a thunderous applause. Earlier in the morning, six schools made it to the final after a prelim of 20 questions. Over 1100 children took part in the quiz.

The Delhi edition of TCS IT Wiz saw over 500 teams taking part from not just Delhi but places like Meerut, Lucknow, Dehradun and Varanasi as well. Quizmaster Pickbrain lined up a difficult set of questions for the national capital.

The first game of the 2019 edition of TCS IT Wiz was underway at Hyderabad. Notably this is the 21st consecutive season of the quiz. A huge downpour in the city did not dampen the spirit of the students who turned out in large numbers.

Over 1200 students in a packed hall cheered as their favourite quizmaster made his presence on stage. He took them through the routines of the prelim with interesting questions from the world of technology. The six schools that made it to the final.

The 12^th city of the nationwide TCS IT Wiz was held at Kochi. Over 500 teams took part with great enthusiasm, as always. Schools had come in from Kannur Coimbatore, Trivandrum to Kottayam making it a huge event.

South City Int. School Kolkata: Aritra Kar and Anish Arun

Over 1000 students attended the regional edition at Kolkata from all around the city, including those travelling from Siliguri, Durgapur, Jamshedpur, Kharagpur and Barasat.

It was a day ridden with challenges. Heavy rains all night with roads flowing like rivers. Add to it the last day of the Mount Mary Fair making traffic crawl.

Close to 1000 students battled at the Nagpur edition of TCS IT Wiz. The city has consistently produced winners who have done well at the nationals in the past. After a crisp prelim of 20 questions, the stage was set for the top six teams to battle for the city title.
