At TCS, we are moving towards our Accessibility Vision through robust accessibility priorities and provisions.
Inclusion at TCS is driven by the vision of our founder, Jamsetji Tata, to build human and social capital through a value framework of diversity, equity, equality, inclusion, belonging, and justice.
The TCS inclusion motto is “inclusion without exception” and the strategy is to achieve a sustained culture of inclusion through the principles of equity and belonging.

In keeping with our inclusive values, we believe that accessibility is the great equity enabler. TCS defines accessibility as the ability to access products, services, devices, and environments by all people irrespective of ability to the greatest extent possible.
TCS envisions accessibility as one of the inherent principles of the organization, seamlessly integrated into its systems and practices.
TCS offers high-quality accessibility services and consultancy to clients across geographies. We are committed to delivering inclusive products and services to customers across various businesses and geographies and partner with clients to drive their accessibility agenda and create an inclusive environment.
TCS is committed to advancing research to enhance the current state of technology and develop new technologies and services to create equal opportunity to people with disabilities to live dignified life. TCS shall continue to contribute and collaborate to this domain by participating in various national and international forums, partnerships with academia and standards bodies.

Physical Accessibility
The organization shall continue to provide “reasonable accommodation” for physical and infrastructural access for all people, including but not restricted to ramps, elevators, washrooms, transport, building infrastructure etc.
Digital Accessibility
The organization is committed to providing value out of a digital experience regardless of variations in their abilities. TCS shall continue to enable digital access for all persons, including people with disability, so that everyone can fulfill their roles and experience with full inclusion as a TCS employee – includes but not limited to – assistive technologies, inclusive communication, accessible and inclusive trainings. Learning modules and sensitization sessions shall be created, curated, and deployed for all TCS employees to create a culture of inclusion. These measures will benefit all employees and external and internal stakeholders. TCS is continuously improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards while providing digital accessibility to its employees by implementing the following measures:
Social Accessibility
The organization shall continue to ensure representation through equitable employment and growth opportunities powered by an inclusive people environment through learning programs addressing bias and mindsets.
TCS strongly believes that workplaces are microcosms of society at large and will continue to invest in partnerships for social change, addressing larger structural and systemic inequities to remove barriers.
TCS shall continue to provide adjustments to a job, the work environment, process, infrastructure, system, and equipment to allow a person with accessibility requirements to apply for a job, perform job functions, or enjoy equal access to benefits available to other individuals in the workplace. TCS shall follow the workplace response principles stated below:
Continued focus on processes, systems, and mechanisms to identify gaps, violations, and redressal in access for all.
TCS strongly believes in social collaboration to benefit society. In its engagement with community, TCS will endeavour to remove barriers and create accessibility leveraging internal and external partnerships. This shall serve TCS’s ongoing engagements with the community and contribute to designing and executing new initiatives to benefit the community.
TCS has started the journey of inclusivity with an organization-wide strategy and action plan.
