At an invigorating session on Enhancing factory efficiency with AI-enabled digital twins and physics simulation, Manish Mishra, Chief Technology Officer, Manufacturing, TCS, and Viraj Hegde, TCS’ Digital Leader for Manufacturing, spoke about business transformation with NVIDIA Omniverse. They talked about how NVIDIA Omniverse was used to create a digital twin of a manufacturing plant and to improve planning efficiency for a manufacturing customer before the project was taken to production.
Another exciting session—on Enhancing software-defined vehicle development with efficient, generative AI—had Manoj Chathankulangara Rajan, Head – GenAI and AI for Automotive, TCS, and Rajat Soni, Technical Architect, TCS, as the speakers. The session explored the potential of GenAI to expedite the advancement of software-defined vehicles, improving customer experience, and optimizing the software engineering life cycle. It emphasized the application of NVIDIA's NeMo framework for fine-tuning large language models (LLMs) using automotive-specific datasets. It also investigated the evaluation methodology for test case generation, offering insights into the assessment of the effectiveness and accuracy of the generated test cases.
Upping the ante on GenAI: Knowledge work, the next big frontier was another elevating session by speaker Sankaranarayanan Viswanathan, Vice President and Head of Business Innovation, Corporate Technology Office, TCS. Knowledge work remains a challenge as its intricate nature and high cognitive demands have rendered traditional automation methods ineffective. The complexity, depth, and breadth of decision-making, critical thinking, and institutional wisdom required in these tasks have proven resistant to conventional automation solutions. The session highlighted how GenAI enhances value by transforming knowledge work, boosting efficiency and decision making, driving performance and optimizing returns on investment.
