In the world of smart and connected products, software features drive competitive differentiation, and software lifecycle management plays a significant role in managing the product’s lifecycle. TCS’ Embedded Software Lifecycle Management Service offers organizations a framework to implement a harmonized platform for software development for smart products and the integration of ALM (application lifecycle management) and PLM (product lifecycle management) to address the demand for such products. Our offering helps customers transform their traditional siloed approach to an integrated framework that addresses accelerated and continuous software delivery needs.
According to CIMdata, there has been a growth in product complexity driven by electrification – the addition of electronics, software, and network connectivity. We are in the middle of a massive transformation from mechanical devices driven by electrical motors and basic electrical and electronic parts to smart, connected products whose capabilities will evolve during their lifecycle. In its commentary, CIMdata recognizes TCS’ extensive experience in designing and managing embedded systems and our valuable work with leading OEMs to help them develop new products. It discusses the TCS framework that supports various ALM solutions and includes integration with leading PLM platforms.
