Tata Consultancy Services enters the Indian Premier League

TCS named Technology Partner for IPL champions Rajasthan Royals- a first of its kind in IPL

Mumbai, April 7, 2009: Tata Consultancy Services, (TCS) (BSE: TCS.BO, NSE: TCS.NS), a leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing organization today announced that it has entered into an agreement for a technology partnership with the Rajasthan Royals, champions of Indian Premier League 2008.

This marks a historic moment for the IPL as it is the first time that an IPL team has inducted a Technology Partner into the organization to help the team stay on the championship track. Under the terms of the agreement, which was signed this week, TCS will be the Technology Partner of the Rajasthan Royals for an initial duration of three years.

TCS will provide expertise in information technology solutions to the Rajasthan Royals organization, on and off the field, in an effort to enhance the efficiency of the organization and help them retain their title as IPL Champions in season 2 as well.

TCS will work closely with the professionals engaged with the team to improve their performance on the field and the franchise’s ability to offer greater value in terms of enhancing the viewing experience for the fans
