MUMBAI, January 3, 2019: Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting, and business solutions organization, will be organizing the TCS Fit4life Corporate Challenge 2018-19 in Pune, Kolkata, and Kochi on January 6, January 13, and February 17, 2019, respectively.
The TCS Fit4life Corporate Challenge is an annual 10K timed competitive running event for corporate participants, which brings together like-minded organizations to promote physical fitness amongst professionals while contributing to a social cause. The Challenge kick-started in Ahmedabad on December 9. Overall, 12,000 runners from over 300 companies, are expected to participate in the Challenge this year.
Corporates are required to register as teams, each with a minimum of four members, preferably with at least one woman participant. A corporate can field multiple teams. Registration will be limited to a maximum of 3000 participants in each city.
The top three men and women finishers from each city will be awarded trophies, medals, Fastrack activity trackers, and Tata Stryder bicycles. These top six winners from each location (subject to meeting qualifying timing criteria) will also get a free entry to participate in the Tata Mumbai Marathon or Tata Ultra Marathon. Additionally, the corporate with the highest number of participants and the corporate with the highest number of women participants will be awarded trophies. All participants will receive a runners’ kit, which includes a t-shirt and a bag. All finishers will be awarded a medal and a timing certificate.
TCS has partnered with the Agastya International Foundation in Ahmedabad, Maher in Pune, the Tata Medical Centre Trust in Kolkata, and the Cancure Foundation in Kochi for the Challenge and will contribute Rs. 500,000 to each of these charity partners.

Agastya International Foundation: Agastya International Foundation is a transformative educational foundation. Agastya is actively engaged in propagating hands-on learning among poor rural children and teachers. It streams its vision and mission to rural India through a variety of channels including mobile labs, science centers, lab-in-a-box, lab-on-a-bike and a creativity lab located near Bangalore. Agastya provides children and teachers access to quality hands-on basic education that awakens their curiosity, and fosters creative thinking, problem-solving and communication skills.
Maher: Maher is a non-governmental organization that provides shelter and care to destitute women, children, men and undertakes community development programs in various villages near village Vadhu Budruk in central western India. It currently shelters more than 960 children, 87 men and over 350 destitute women housed in 46 different homes around Pune and outside. Maher runs 24 different projects simultaneously. Maher’s work has also expanded to other parts of India like Jharkhand, Kerala, Kolkata, Miraj and Ratnagiri.
TATA Medical Centre Trust: The Tata Medical Center is a comprehensive Cancer Care Center with well trained professionals and is equipped with world class facilities and the most contemporary medical equipment. The Center provides a wide spectrum of services from diagnosis, therapy to rehabilitation and palliative support in cancer.
Cancure Foundation: Cancure Foundation (CCF) is a not for profit society founded by like-minded individuals from various walks of life and professions towards the cause of assisting the marginalized section of the society in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of silent killer disease, cancer. The society will in addition undertake several activities to enhance the awareness of the disease and in its early detection.
