Dubai / Mumbai, India, October 26, 2009: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: TCS.BO, NSE: TCS.NI), a leading global IT services and consulting firm, announced today the extension of its Regional Support Center in Dubai to support its core banking customers in the Middle East. This center, which earlier supported the capital market customers, is now geared to provide on-call services and any emergency support needed in the region to its core banking customers as well.
With more than 30 TCS Financial Solutions customers in the Middle East, this Regional Support Center is a significant step in addressing the ever evolving needs of our customers, in addition to other Regional Centers in Johannesburg, South Africa. Faster response to customer needs, enhanced resource availability and more localized disaster recovery services for clients are the benefits of the Support Center. These Regional Support Centers also perform back up functions as disaster recovery hubs to the Global Support Center in India.
Dr. Fadi Chehayeb, CIO of the National Bank of Kuwait (NBK), speaking on the ocassion said, “TCS has always been a committed player that paid attention to the local needs and specific issues of our region. The establishment of this center can only enhance the support level for NBK and others. We are glad to be a part of an eventful journey”.
