MUMBAI, November 8, 2017: Tata Consultancy Services (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, today announced the launch of its new campus – the TCS Olympus Centre in Thane, Mumbai. The phase I of the state-of-the-art software development facility was inaugurated by Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Maharashtra who was welcomed by N.Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Group and Rajesh Gopinathan, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, TCS.
Also present on the occasion were senior officials of the state government, business and community leaders as well as senior executives from Tata group and TCS.
Rajesh Gopinathan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TCS said, “TCS has played a pioneering role to make Maharashtra an attractive IT destination for global companies. We have helped drive technology-led growth by investing in talented youth of the state and building long-term partnerships with state institutions.” He added: “We are delighted to launch our new next-gen workplace, which provides Collaborative Agile workspaces, Software-Defined Network, Security Operations Centre and a Cloud-enabled infrastructure. The facility will help TCS further drive the next phase of its growth”.
TCS Olympus Centre, is the latest addition to the company’s unique global network of software development and delivery centres. It will be developed in 2 phases and has the potential to accommodate 30,000 employees, once fully operational. The state-of the art facility includes a training block, club house and gymnasium thus providing a contemporary and holistic work culture.
Consolidating operations across Mumbai into this new facility in Olympus Centre will also create more indirect employment opportunities in the Greater Mumbai area.
The new facility is IGBC Platinum rated. It has been developed as a “green” campus and leverages Rainwater Harvesting, Sewage Treatment Plant, and Eco-friendly, low-emission systems and fixtures.
