Tata Consultancy Services’ Solution Helps the Energy Company Gain Deep Insights Around Electricity Usage Patterns and Drive Real-time Decision-making
SYDNEY | MUMBAI, October 22, 2021: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, has been recognized with a 2021 ISG Digital Case Study Award™, for its best-in-class digital transformation work for Shell, a global energy and petrochemical company. ISG recognized this case study as a regional stand-out in Australia and New Zealand.
Shell partnered with TCS to build a transformative digital solution that will help the company derive deep insights from the available data as well as enable a central view for upstream and midstream businesses. It aims to contextualize its digitization initiatives across wireline logging, downhole completions, gas production operations and technology, performance, and safe operations, helping the company improve efficiency and reliability in their LNG business as well as improve sustainability.
One of TCS’ unique solutions provides deep insights into leading and lagging performance indicators, offers analytics on the projected maximum power demand, and supports real-time decision-making around electricity usage patterns, minimizing financial and regulatory risks for the asset and resulting in notable cost savings.
“We are thrilled to receive this award from an independent third-party research firm. Our deep contextual and domain knowledge, expertise in cutting-edge digital technologies, and innovative analytics and insights solutions, are helping us drive Shell’s unique, purpose-led digital transformation journey,” said Debashis Ghosh, Business Group Head, Energy & Resources, TCS.
“Enhancing customer and user experience was the most prevalent objective across the enterprise-provider projects we examined, and the transformational role providers are playing was evidenced by the many innovative and impactful solutions they delivered,” said Paul Reynolds, Partner and Chief Research Officer, ISG. “The TCS case study is a standout example of purpose-led digital transformation where the identification and definition of a need drives the technology solution and exponential value realization.”
