TCS Singapore featured on Channel NewsAsia ‘India Acts East’ programme
TCS Singapore was recently featured in Channel NewsAsia’s ‘India Acts East’ program that focuses on economic development and business collaboration between the two Asia powerhouse; India and ASEAN.
Tata Group’s story with Singapore began in 1970s, Tata being one of the earliest industrial conglomerates that partnered with Singapore.
The programme highlights how Singapore plays an instrumental role in strengthening India-ASEAN ties by being the favorite destination of Indian companies to set-up bases.
TCS’ regional headquarters for Asia Pacific is based in Singapore.
“Singapore is a fairly good size market, with a high GPD, great educational institutions and R&D facilities. It becomes a great market us to identify talent, us the talent to create something innovative and then we have a market here where we can test those solutions. It is very difficult to find a market that encompasses all the three aspects”, said Girish Ramachandran, President, TCS Asia Pacific.
The programme highlights how TCS with its various academic partnerships, IT expertise and diverse culture is building solutions that can benefit both businesses and the people in the region and beyond, and helping India further its ‘India Act East’ policy.
