Tata Consultancy Services Limited (referred to as ‘TCS’) is governed by the Tata Code of Conduct a comprehensive document that serves as an ethical road map for Tata employees and companies. TCS, as a company, is committed to a culture of transparency and accountability.
Basis the EU Whistleblowing Directive of 17 December 2021 (“the Directive”) and its local implementation, TCS will comply with the requirements under this legislation by way of the TCS Europe Policy Whistle Blower (hereinafter referred to as the ‘Policy’).
Under the terms of the Directive, TCS offers reporting solutions and processes for staff to raise concerns, anonymously where needed, of a nature that can seriously harm the EU/Europe as a single market in confidence. The type of concerns that can be raised within the scope of the Directive are also detailed in the policy.
TCS Europe has engaged an independent service provider (Convercent) to run its Confidential Reporting System.
Concerns can be raised through the following channels: an online link created to access the TCS Europe Confidential Reporting System, via telephone services (refer to Annexure B of the Policy) or by means of a ‘physical meeting’.
Individuals are requested to provide sufficient details to enable a thorough investigation of their concerns. Concerns can be raised as per the individual’s preferred language.
In the Confidential Reporting System, TCS Europe Trusted Person(s) and investigator(s) assigned to handle the concerns can only access details provided in the written report and will not have any access to the telephone number or email address from where it was made. The Trusted persons will only contact the individual reporting the concern through the independent service provider (Convercent) unless an alternate means of communication is agreed upon.
While employees are encouraged to use the internal channels provided, employees may also use external reporting channels (refer Annexure A of the Policy).
