As the semiconductor revolution gains momentum in India, TCS is supporting the manufacturing of homegrown semiconductor chips, with the aim to introduce India’s first domestically produced chips in the future. TCS leverages AI, GenAI, IoT, 5G, and machine learning, to optimize the silicon lifecycle. TCS is also committed to building secure and sustainable cloud and AI technologies in India, for India.

1.Helping Crystallize India’s National Quantum Mission

TCS and IIT-Bombay collaborated to develop a quantum imaging platform for the non-destructive examination of chips

This is the first such initiative in India. An advanced sensing tool for semiconductor chip imaging, will help reduce the chances of chip failures and improve the efficiency of electronic devices.

The project, aligned with the Government of India's National Quantum Mission, strives to position the nation as a global quantum technology leader. With its advanced capabilities to identify chip defects, the quantum diamond microchip imager is a leap forward in semiconductor imaging. It will have broad applications in microelectronics, biological and geological imaging, and fine-scale imaging of magnetic fields.
