Dr Binuja Varma

Dr Binuja has a PhD in molecular biology and human genetics. She has more than 23 years of clinical research experience, heading several laboratory research projects in the fields of genomics, microbiomics, and molecular biology. She is part of TCS’ initiatives in cancer genomics and microbiomics and was a certified training faculty member at NIH.

She is an accredited trainer of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and has led several genomics facilities and has guided and mentored several doctoral and postgraduate theses. She has previously worked in distinguished organizations like the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology and the National Institute of Immunology where she was the principal investigator in several projects of disease biology and predictive biomarker discovery technologies.
