Jan Erik Johannson

Jan has over 35 years of oil and gas upstream experience encompassing field operations, operations management with regional responsibility, software development, startup operations, marketing, and consulting. His career has spanned the globe from Asia through Europe, South America and now North America and Canada.

Johansson’s current focus is on OSDU, energy transition, asset inspection and integration of new skills into asset teams in the upstream oil and gas industry. He is also the lead for the upstream oil and gas in the Americas Business Unit

He has contributed multiple blogs to industry publications and white papers, and has been a panelist at multiple conferences including MIT, ARC Advisory Groups Annual conference and client customer events.

Johansson has an engineering degree in electronics with transmission technology specialty from Polhelms Technical Gymnasium in Sweden. He is an active member of Society of Petroleum Engineers, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, Society of Exploration Geophysicists and American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
