SBOA, Chennai crowned TCS IT Wiz National Champions 2011

Chennai, December 10, 2011: It was a battle of nerves, with intensely fought rounds as 12 teams battled hard against the clock and each other at a 100-minute long action-packed national final of TCS IT Wiz, India’s biggest inter-school quiz, held at Taj Coromandel, Chennai.

The final comprised 12 teams that won the regional rounds held in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. It concluded a journey, which began with over 14,700 high-school students competing for the regional titles across 12 cities during 2011. The top winning teams from each city qualified for the final.

The winners and runners-up received their prizes from N Chandrasekaran, CEO & MD, TCS.

Speaking after an action-packed final, N Chandrasekaran said, “All the young winners of TCS IT Wiz 2011 are the emerging generation who can propel India’s future growth and prosperity. Events like quizzing are important to create well-rounded global individuals who can collaborate under pressure as well as compete under the spotlight.
