TCS bags multiple awards at the Asian Banker Technology Innovation Awards 2017

SINGAPORE | MUMBAI, JULY 4, 2017: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) a leading global IT services, consulting and business solutions organization announced that IDFC Bank, India and KBZSC Myanmar won the Best Core Banking implementation and Best Securities Trading implementation awards at the just concluded Asian Banker Technology Innovation Awards 2017 in Singapore. TCS also secured a Silver award and was named among the three winners in the Best Vendor Satisfaction category that represented the leaders in the Asia Pacific region.

Citing the work done by IDFC and TCS and the reasons for the win, The Asian Banker said, “IDFC Bank implemented TCS BaNCS to offer innovative and digital services across all business lines. The new system offers electronic know-your-customer account opening within four minutes and several unique features. The bank achieved significant growth in number of customers and multi-fold increase in profit.”

For the Securities Trading implementation winner KBZSC and TCS, the magazine issued the following citation, “KBZSC Securities was among the first five sell-side firms in Myanmar to start trading on the Yangon Stock Exchange. KBZSC Securities achieved great operating milestones in 2016 and Continued to improve risk management practices, KBZSC Securities managed to further mitigate the risk of the entire entity”

The magazine also highlighted TCS’ win amidst a highly competitive category, “Tata Consultancy Services was rated as among the top 3 winners in terms of satisfaction for over 180 projects implemented in 2016. The key parameters in which the company was rated high were functional capability, scalability, support in the region, and plug and play. The Bankers were asked to rate various information technology companies as to satisfaction level for services provided and that information was benchmarked for excellence”
