TCS and Comcast Recognized by Informatica for Innovation in Test Data Management

Project Wins High Honors in 'Operational Efficiency' at Informatica Innovation Awards

NEW YORK | MUMBAI, May 20, 2014: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a leading IT services, consulting and business solutions organization, was recognized by Informatica as an Innovation Award partner in the category of 'Operational Efficiency' during Informatica World 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. This award was bestowed upon TCS and Comcast for the deployment of TCS’ Test Data Management (TDM) solution, which helped to assure Comcast’s future and current test data requirement.

The project, which started just about a year ago, was a joint collaboration between Comcast, TCS’ Assurance Services Unit and Informatica. The goal was to ensure timely availability of referentially correct test data across the various applications in Comcast’s QA environment. TCS was able to achieve this objective through the use of its Test Data Management (TDM) solution built on Informatica’s Information Lifecycle Management TDM platform that ensures data across an organization is readily accessible so that it can be analyzed and tested across sub-environments. The benefits of effectively implementing TCS’ TDM solution include reduced costs, assurance of data quality, faster delivery and strict adherence to regulatory requirements.
