MARYSVILLE, Ohio, November 4, 2009: Honda of America Mfg., Inc. has recognized the associates at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing firm, for outstanding performance at providing products and services that support Honda’s manufacturing in Ohio.
TCS is among 12 companies receiving Supplier of the Year awards for top performance in the areas of quality, delivery and productivity improvement. Called “MRO” suppliers, these companies provide “maintenance, repair and operational (MRO) service to four Honda plants in Ohio that include supplying electrical power, office products, specialty tooling, as well as construction, milling and material handling services.

TCS earned the 2009 Supplier of the Year award for Information Technology Services category. To earn a top award, Honda evaluates each supplier’s performance in key operational areas, as well as initiatives to continually improve and achieve world-class business characteristics.
Since 2001, Honda Manufacturing has entrusted TCS with several critical business systems and TCS has demonstrated remarkable agility and responsiveness in delivering measurable business benefits to Honda Manufacturing. Today TCS is an important partner supplying business critical services in various domains and technologies to Honda.
