Nikos Chrysogelos

Since January 1, 2024, Nikos is the Deputy Mayor of Athens for Climate Governance and Social Economy, and also responsible for civil protection. He is coordinating the preparation of the Climate Contract of Athens in the framework of the EU’s Mission of ‘100 Climate-neutral and Smart Cities by 2030’. A former Member of the European Parliament (active between February 2, 2012, and July 1, 2014), Nikos is the fourth Vice Chairman of the Regional Development Committee (REGI) of the European Parliament and a substitute member of the Environment, Public Health, and Food Security Committee (ENVI). He was also Regional Councillor in South Aegean between 2010 and 2014. A member of the official list of certificated trainers on environmental issues created by the Greek Minister of Labour, Nikos is a manager and environmental consultant for many European projects, and leads training of trainers, educators, technicians, and scientists on environmental and social issues related to sustainability. He also lectures and teaches about sustainable development.

Dr Harrick Vin is the Chief Technology Officer at TCS. He is a TCS Fellow, a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering, and a Distinguished Alumnus of IIT Bombay. Prior to his current role, he was the chief services innovation officer, where he led innovations into the future of work. In 2015, he founded Digitate, a TCS venture. At Digitate, from 2015–19, he led the strategy, innovation, and design of ignio™, the world’s first cognitive automation product for enterprise IT. Prior to this, he was the vice president and chief scientist of the Tata Research Development and Design Center at TCS, as well as the global head of innovation and transformation for TCS’ IT Infrastructure Services. Prior to joining TCS, he was a professor of Computer Sciences at the University of Texas at Austin for 15 years. At UT Austin, he was the founder of the Distributed Multimedia Computing Laboratory and the Laboratory for Advanced Systems Research.

Sapthagiri Chapalapalli (Saptha) heads TCS’ business in Europe since April 2020. Prior to this role, he was the vice president and managing director for TCS in Germany and Austria. Since 2010, Saptha has led TCS’ growth, expansion, and excellence in the German market by successfully deploying a strategic mix of customer centricity and localisation. During his tenure, independent research firm Whitelane Research ranked TCS #1 in customer satisfaction while global certification company Top Employers Institute recognised TCS as one of the ‘top employers’ known for excellence in people practices in the region. Before his stint in Germany, Saptha held key leadership roles in TCS in various capacities in the United Kingdom and North America. Saptha has an MBA with a specialisation in finance, HR, and marketing from the TA Pai Management Institute in Manipal, India. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (Andhra University).

Amit Kapur is Country Head, UK and Ireland at TCS. Amit oversees driving strategy and operations for TCS’ second largest region, servicing large global and leading UK organisations. Since joining TCS in 1999, Amit has worked with some of the top global 500 firms in several consulting, advisory, and management roles, helping them drive efficiencies and improve their business results. Based in London, Amit previously led the TCS Benelux business for seven years. Under his leadership, TCS Benelux was able to demonstrate a full-services play and added several marquee brands to its customer portfolio in the region. Amit graduated from Mumbai University, India, in 1999, with a master’s degree in management studies.
