Udaipur, 1st February: Hindustan Zinc Limited, India’s largest producer of zinc, lead, and silver, was awarded the CII-Dx awards 2021 for its ‘Integrated transport Management System’ in the category of ‘Most Innovative Best Practice – Innovations in Supply Chain & Logistics’. Hindustan Zinc received the award on 12th January, at a virtual ceremony at the 3rd Edition of the DX Summit & Awards 2021 along with TCS. This award is a significant testament to the company’s innovation and transformation in the domain of supply chain and logistics.
The Summit emphasised the importance of the private sector, multilateral organizations, and government playing a more effective and integrated role in creating resilience in a constantly changing business environment. The purpose of the DX Summit & Awards 2021 is to highlight best practices and discuss solutions to assist the Indian industry in becoming more digitally transformed. The event also honours the achievements of innovators in the field of digital transformation. The award recognizes India’s digital transformation achievements and strives to facilitate information sharing on best practices and technologies.
The procurement practices of Hindustan Zinc are in line with the company’s Sustainability Goals 2025, which include implementing 100 percent responsible sourcing in the supply chain and guaranteeing optimal resource utilization through technology-enabled solutions. Through SAP Ariba, Robos, Project Confluence, and Sarathi, the company has completely digitized its supply chain system, including the procurement-to-payment process. The company is consistently rethinking work systems and processes in order to stay ahead of the curve, with an emphasis on innovation. Apart from supply chain and logistics breakthroughs, the company is leveraging technology, automation, and innovation to boost efficiency across the spectrum.
