Driving digital transformations across the value chain accelerates green transition across industries.
Sustainability has acquired epic proportions in the energy, resources, and the utilities (ERU) sector. With clean energy essaying a vital role in reducing emissions and limiting the effects of climate change, sustainable energy is the way forward. Energy sustainability is also about making energy affordable. There are four pillars of green transition that can enable ERU enterprises to achieve dual goals of sustainability and affordability: new energy mix, hyper-efficient operations, new ecosystems, and the energy cost of intelligence.
As we live longer, it is important that our natural resource consumption footprint is a sustainable one to make that stint healthy. Green healthcare is possible across distributors, pharmacies, payers, hospital procurement processes, and MedTech distribution. Technologies like AI, internet of medical things (IoMT), cloud can enable waste management, green procurement, and reduction in hazardous product usage and emission to accelerate sustainable maturity.
Similarly, the life sciences industry is focusing on reducing emissions, hazardous waste, pharmaceuticals in the environment, and medical waste disposal not just in pockets, but across the value chain, including drug and device research and development, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial aspects.
Our vision for digital sustainability is that a single digital core drives business efficiencies and actions that make an enterprise more sustainable. Data is the fulcrum of this digital core, and green transition is also a large data challenge. So, a sustainable data backbone can greatly favor the green initiatives of organizations.
