TCS R&I is enabling business transformation through its agile, machine-first innovation philosophy
Businesses across the world are embracing digital technologies in a manner and pace never seen before in industrial history. Thanks to breakthroughs in artificial intelligence, automation and robotics, the human-machine collaboration model has also metamorphosed: humans now give machines the first right of refusal on time-intensive and complex tasks. Which is why ‘Agile. Machine First. Innovation’ was the central theme that clients, research experts, academic partners, VCs, technologists and other TCS COIN™ partners deliberated over at the TCS Innovation Forum 2019.
Organized in four geographies – Latin America, North America, the UK and Asia-Pacific – through April-May 2019, this event series provided participants an opportunity to exchange notes and explore how TCS’ research, innovation and co-innovation expertise is helping its clients transform their businesses.
The TCS Research and Innovation (R&I) unit explained how businesses are adopting agile methodologies to meet on-demand customer expectations, compress innovation project lifecycles and deliver unmatched value. Also under discussion was the role of AI in the workforce, skills the next generation of workers will need and the ways in which organizations can engage with new technologies.
The schedule at the TCS Innovation Forum 2019 events was packed with keynote addresses, CXO sessions, breakout sessions and industry showcase demonstrations. Topics under discussion during these sessions ranged from the future of metals and the contribution of biological sensors technology in the field of medicine, to the screening of rare genetic disorders and agile business for digital living spaces.
This edition of the TCS Innovation Forum also introduced TCS Pace™, an initiative to bring innovation closer to the customer and deliver breakthroughs with agility to enable business transformation. Currently being launched across the world, TCS Pace Port™ centers offer clients a space to collaborate with the TCS R&I network and partners. These spaces are designed to further co-creation and allow for greater agility, speed and creativity in realizing the digital transformation journeys of TCS clients.
