Samir Seksaria is the Chief Financial Officer of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). He took over as the CFO of the IT Consulting and services major in May, 2021. As CFO, Samir heads finance operations, strategic planning, financial reporting and analysis, taxation, shareholder as well as investor relations.
Samir has been a part of the leadership that scaled TCS’ revenue to $29 billion with industry-leading profitability. His focus is always to prioritize growth with a razor-sharp emphasis on efficiency and agility.
With over two decades of experience with the IT giant, Samir has played a pivotal role in numerous finance transformations that the organization has rolled out over the years. He started his career at TCS in 1999 and spent his early years in consulting assignments involving regulatory compliance and M&A spin-offs, amongst others. Prior to taking over his current role as CFO, he was heading the Business Finance function and was responsible for the financial management of individual operating units.
Born and brought up in Mumbai, Samir graduated from Narsee Monjee College in 1997, and completed his Chartered Accountancy from ICAI, Mumbai.
He was an integral part of the team that spearheaded the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of TCS in 2004, and in various finance transformation journeys involving early closures, simplified and straight through processes, and better cash management.
