TCS also achieves a new milestone with an enterprise-wide Top Employer certification, an exclusive recognition awarded to a distinguished group of companies for excellence in employee experience across regions, and is certified a ‘Top Employer’ across 13 European countries
AMSTERDAM | MUMBAI February 18, 2025: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS), a global leader in IT services, consulting, and business solutions, has been recognized as a Top Employer in Europe by the Top Employers Institute, a global authority on workplace excellence. TCS has also achieved a major milestone by earning its first-ever Enterprise-Wide Top Employer Certification, an exclusive recognition awarded to a distinguished group of select organizations that consistently demonstrate outstanding people practices across all key regions. This adds to TCS' recognition as Global Top Employer for 2025.
In Europe, this marks the 13th straight year that TCS has been certified as a Top Employer in the region. The certification evaluates key HR practices, including people strategy, work environment, talent acquisition, learning, diversity & inclusion, and employee wellbeing. TCS has been named a Top Employer in 13 European countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Hungary, Sweden, Italy, Finland, Denmark, Norway, France, Spain, and Poland.
David Plink, CEO, Top Employers Institute, said, “We’re in a time of rapid change, where technological, economic, and social factors are continually reshaping our world. These extraordinary times bring out the best in people and organizations. The certification shows that TCS consistently prioritizes the growth and wellbeing of its staff, meaning the organization is well-placed to benefit from these rapid societal changes as a people-first business. Congratulations to TCS for being listed as a Top Employer in Europe again this year.”
With a diverse workforce of over 15,700 associates across 62 offices throughout Europe, TCS has been committed to recognizing, hiring and nurturing outstanding talent to achieve inclusive growth in the region. In the last financial year, TCS hired more than 800 associates across Europe. Through various partnerships, the organization has undertaken a large-scale upskilling drive to train 20 million Information and Communications Technology (ICT) specialists by 2030, aligning with the goals of the European Digital Decade Policy Program for fostering a digital society in the European Union. TCS is also part of EU Pact for Skills, a shared engagement model for skill development in Europe. Under its ‘Walking the Cultural Bridge’ program, TCS has made substantial investments in multilingual learning offerings and intercultural workshops, supporting employees to navigate the complexities of a multicultural business environment, enhancing collaboration and cultural intelligence.
Sapthagiri Chapalapalli, Head of TCS Europe, said, “We are very proud to have been certified top employer status once again in Europe. TCS commits itself to its people, and we believe strongly in nurturing and growing our talent to have both the support and skills needed in today’s changing business environment. In the modern business world, organizations need to be perpetually adaptive to their dynamic environment, and we are empowering our workforce to be future-ready.”
TCS lays strong emphasis on employee satisfaction and is committed to building an AI-ready workforce through skilling initiatives. It enables multi-lingual training on AI concepts to help make learning as simple as possible. The talent transformation cycle empowers employees through “TCS Elevate”, a merit-based, internal, democratized, and transparent talent framework designed to establish a linkage between learning and career progression. Around 40% of the workforce in Europe achieved higher competencies in 2024. This also helps in reducing attrition. Currently, around 5,200 employees in Europe boast of a decade-long tenure. TCS’ commitment to skilling expands to the overall talent ecosystem as well. Its flagship TCS goITTM (Go Innovate Together) program is designed to inspire students towards STEM education. After a successful trial in Belgium in 2019, the program operates in 12 countries across Europe, in five European languages involving over 10,000 students. It has generated more than 1,800 student innovation projects.
