SEATTLE | MUMBAI, July 25, 2022: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) (BSE: 532540, NSE: TCS) announced that it is now offering its suite of innovative sustainability solutions on the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, to help clients plan, design and implement their ESG strategies.
Leveraging its deep contextual knowledge of its clients’ business and technology landscapes, TCS will help them realize the benefits of the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability, using its native capabilities to break down data silos, unify data intelligence and enable near real-time visibility into emissions. Additionally, it will help integrate its own as well as third-party solutions for carbon reduction, replacement, and removal with clients’ existing systems so they can test, refine, and scale their sustainability initiatives.
TCS has developed over 200 solution offerings to help clients across different industry verticals achieve their ESG or environmental, social and governance goals. On the environmental front, TCS’ solutions help enterprises decarbonize their operations and create net-zero pathways, restore natural capital and become responsible water stewards. It helps them embed circularity in their products and services, by helping design agile, resilient and sustainable supply chains and promoting reuse, recapture and recycling. On the social front, it provides digital solutions to promote health, safety and wellness at the workplace, and accessibility solutions for greater inclusivity. In governance, TCS offers solutions and services that drive better compliance management, data-driven decision-making, enhanced reporting and for governments to offer better citizen services.
TCS also helps clients accelerate their sustainability innovation, leveraging its ecosystem of partners from academia, start-ups and technology providers. It works closely with customers at TCS Pace Ports, its network of co-innovation hubs spread across New York, Pittsburg, Toronto, Amsterdam and Tokyo, to ideate on their most pressing sustainability concerns, rapidly prototype the most promising solution candidates and build them. These solutions result in more sustainable operations, products and services, and even new revenue streams from innovative business models.
TCS will integrate some of its award-winning sustainability solutions, already available on Microsoft Azure — TCS Clever Energy™, Intelligent Power Plant (IP2™), TCS Envirozone™, Cognitive Plant Operations Adviser, and ESG integration solution – with the Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability.
“At TCS, we firmly believe that technology can help enterprises track and reduce their waste and emissions much more effectively. We are partnering with leading enterprises across the world to help them leverage digital technologies to accurately account for carbon emissions across their extended value chain and accelerate their net zero journeys. We are thrilled to partner with Microsoft and make available our entire suite of sustainability solutions and services on the new Microsoft Cloud for Sustainability. Our joint offerings will help our clients achieve their sustainability goals and take us all one step closer to saving this planet,” said Siva Ganesan, Business Head, Microsoft Business Unit, TCS.
“Strategic partners like TCS are delivering innovative Cloud for Sustainability solutions to help customers unify data intelligence, build robust IT infrastructure, gain insights to better manage their environmental footprint, and create more sustainable value chains so they can advance their sustainability goals,” said Elisabeth Brinton, Corporate Vice President, Sustainability, Microsoft. “We are pleased to work with TCS to help organizations plan, design and implement strategies to enable sustainable growth.”
