Welcome to Lidingö
Each year, the small, picturesque island of Lidingö just outside Stockholm, in Sweden, is home to an extraordinary feat of determination and athleticism.
TCS Lidingöloppet—the world’s biggest cross-country race—is not for the faint-hearted. The 30km route pushes runners to their limits with a challenging course filled with steep inclines and sudden descents.
But don't worry, the reward at the finish line is well worth it, with thousands of cheering spectators awaiting the runners in a picturesque downhill meadow.

A mountainous task
For nearly 60 years, the renowned race has challenged even the world’s best runners, with around 24,000 people taking part in 2023.
The main 30km course takes around two hours to complete, passing through lush meadows, dirt tracks and climbing and descending steep hills. The event also includes many smaller races which attract thousands of runners.
The race has been honoured with the World Athletics Heritage Plaque, recognizing its significant contributions to the development of athletics and its fascinating history. And behind the scenes, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has played a vital role in taking this race to the next level.

At TCS, we go beyond conventional sports sponsorship.
